OUTWORK shares the stories of women employed at Kenrick and Jefferson (K&J) Print Works on West Bromwich High Street. The book OUTWORK assembles together participants’ personal herstories and includes testimonials, photographs from their personal archives and workshop outcomes.
OUTWORK was designed in collaboration with Joseph Lilley at The Holodeck in Birmingham, it has been printed in riso and bound by hand. Each copy contains a hand-made paste paper cover with a hand-foiled title on the dust cover, and an envelope containing hole-punch chads with an insert.
The book was launched at West Bromwich Central Library in September 2023.
Copies of the book are available in all 19 libraries in Sandwell, Sandwell Community History & Archives Service, and the six national libraries. Copies are also available at Glasgow Women’s Library and The Women’s Library in London.
